Tilly is descended from our very first goat, Dahlia. She's got a lot of solid genetics behind her, too. I've really enjoyed watching her grow. Tilly got pregnant easily and carried her kid to full-term. Unfortunately nature is not always easy. Her single, 11lb buck kid presented with his head back and despite her seeming to have ample room to get him through, I had to work for two hours to get him out. Unfortunately by the time I was able to get him maneuvered around, he did not survive the process. The BRIGHT side of the deal was that Tilly survived and I was able to milk her! She should do fine next year!
